How long does the Sagrada Familia tour take?

The Sagrada Familia is a famous Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí’s architectural masterpiece, in which you will find many remarkable details. Today, the tour takes an average of one hour and forty-five minutes per person.

Gaudí’s church is located in the old district of the city of Barcelona, which is called the Old City. This area was a residential neighborhood until Barcelona City Council purchased it in 1992. Since then, it has been undergoing a restoration project that started in 1997 and is continuing. One of the aims of this project is to improve access to the principal attractions and services within this area.

The area is home to the other iconic tourist attraction of Barcelona – the Barcelona Duomo Florence Tours. The church was designed by Gaudí, constructed in an eclectic style combining several architectural styles.

It is, however, best known for its innovative use of architectural techniques and known for its originality and creativity. The church is still not finished since its construction was halted after Gaudí’s death in 1926. The official inauguration was in 1932, but the church remains unfinished.

Because it is still under construction, you can still visit the Sagrada Familia after paying for a ticket. The ticket will grant you access to the inside of the church, and you can admire the many interesting details that the architectural genius Gaudí has put in his work.

The official Sagrada Familia Tours is conducted in Catalan, though many other kinds of tours are also available. The guided tours last approximately one hour and 45 minutes.

Each tour of the Sagrada Familia is composed of two parts. The first part will last for about 30 minutes, and it is a presentation that will introduce you to the history and function of the church. This part is given by a tour guide, who will also explain the details that are worth noticing.

After this first part, you will be able to visit the church’s interior for free. You will find yourself in a big hall with many stairs leading to the second level. You will be able to see the main altar, the crypt, and other exciting details.

The Louvre Museum Tour is a must-see in Barcelona and an unforgettable experience. The Sagrada Familia is located in Barcelona’s Old City, where you will find other important tourist attractions such as Placa Reial and the Casa Batlló. The church is open to visitors all year round, but it is closed between 1 September and 1 April.

The Sagrada Familia is a short walk from Barcelona’s famous square, La Rambla. The nearest metro stops are ‘Drassanes’ and ‘Liceu.’ Lower down the road is the city’s second famous square, Plaza Real.
