Stretch marks are indented streaks that often appear on the abdomen, breasts, hips, buttocks and thighs. Over time they become less noticeable. Stretch marks are particularly common in pregnant women, especially during the last trimester.
Examples include pregnancy, weight gain in obesity, growth spurts in teenagers, medication side effects or a rapid increase in muscle size through weightlifting.
Best Ways To Remove Stretch Marks
1. Vitamin A
using a topical extract of vitamin A, or taking vitamin A orally, can contribute to your skin’s health and overall appearance. A diet rich in certain foods, such as carrots and sweet potatoes, might also help you increase your vitamin A levels.
Rubbing a sugar scrub on the skin will exfoliate the area.
Mix one cup sugar with 1/4 cup of a softening agent, like almond oil or coconut oil, before mixing to the consistency of wet beach sand.
Add some lemon juice.
Scrub the mixture on the part of your body where the stretch marks are.
Repeat several times a week while in the shower, making sure to rub the mixture on for 8-10 minutes.
3. Aloe Vera
Apply pure aloe Vera from a plant to your stretch marks daily after your shower.
4. Coconut Oil
Applying virgin coconut oil to your stretch marks each day might take away some of their red appearance. Unless you’re allergic to coconuts, this oil is considered safe.
5. Petroleum Jelly
Apply the petroleum jelly on the stretch marks and massage for 5-10 minutes. Do this every night before going to bed.
6. Dry Brush
Gently brush the affected area with the dry brush using circular upward motions. Continue brushing for 5-6 minutes. Shower as usual and apply a good moisturizer. Repeat this every day before taking a bath.
7. Egg Whites
Beat 1-2 egg whites lightly and apply with the brush on the affected areas.
Let it dry naturally. Rinse with cool water and moisturize. Add a couple of drops of coconut oil or almond oil to the egg white for added benefits. Use this egg white pack every day for best results.
8. Apple Cider Vinegar
Dilute1 cup Apple cider vinegar with water and pour it into a spray bottle.
Spray it on the stretch marks and let it dry naturally. Leave it on overnight.
Shower as usual in the morning and follow up with a good moisturizer.
Repeat this every night, before going to bed.
